In 2003, HSOC was invited to become the Irish member of The International Accounting Group (TIAG ®), a worldwide network of quality independent accountancy firms with the same goal – to provide a high standard of professional advice and local market knowledge to other members and their clients.

Our membership of this network is significantly enhanced by TIAG’s relationship with its sister network of legal firms, TAGLaw. This allows us the unique opportunity to source legal advice from highly regarded legal firms across the globe. TAGLaw is ranked among the five largest legal networks in the world. The combined sister networks now include more than 260 member firms in 93 countries.

Recent examples of reliance on the network include:

• Advised a number of clients of other TIAG members on tax, accounting and practicalities surrounding establishment in Ireland
• Assisted an Irish client in establishing a Hong Kong company to be utilised for sourcing Asian supplies
• Liaison with other TIAG members in relation to compliance services for an Irish-based executive who required tax returns in the UK, Canada, US and Ireland
• Co-ordination of VAT registration for a US multinational in five European countries
• Sourced US legal advice for an Irish client with a Florida-based investment
• Sourced Italian inheritance tax advice for an Irish client
